Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a blue pen, and draw a curved line in the center of your page. This should be at a diagonal, with the tops and bottoms curved over.
2.

At the bottom of this, add a jagged, bumpy line, extending towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
3.

Take this to a point, and then bring three bumps up towards the top of the page…
4.

Before returning to the top of the original line, and curving this across, then up and across to the left.
5.

At the end of this line, add a large triangular shape, and curve the top down and across…
6.

Before using a curved line to connect the front of the shape to the back.
7.

Add another triangle shape beside the first to complete your tail.
8.

Now, bring a curved line across from just in front of the tail, to just before the fin.
9.

Now, add a ring just in front of the fin, and add a short semicircle below this.
10.

Add a small oval shape to the top of the head, and bring several water drops leaping up into the sky!
11.

Use a black pen to add a smaller circle inside the eye, and fill this in, leaving a small dot at the bottom.
12.

Grab a cyan pen and fill in the rest of the eye. Then, add smaller droplets and circle shapes inside the droplets at the top.
13.

Fill in the water droplets, leaving these smaller sections white. Add a cyan line to the top, to the tip of the tail, and along the fin.
14.

Use a blue pencil to carefully shade in your whale…
15.

And then draw curves all along the chest and belly with a black fineliner pen.
16.

Finally, use a cyan pencil to gently shade the bottom section.
And there we have it – a baby blue whale! Why not do a little research to learn more about these majestic creatures – there is plenty to discover!
