Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Use a black pen to draw a long, thin rectangle, angled at around 45 degrees, at the top of your page.
2.

Now, add a short line to the right of this, and then add a bamboo leaf with a series of points to the right.
3.

Add another long, thin triangle to the bottom of the first, creating the second section of the bamboo stem.
4.

Add another leaf, with three long, thin almond shapes, to the left of this segment.
5.

Add another section of stem below the second…
6.

And three more sections for a leaf to the left of this.
7.

Add the top half of another section of stem to the right of that which you have already drawn…
8.

And then follow this up with the bottom half below.
9.

Add three leaves to the right of the stem.
10.

Add two pointed leaves below this, heading off to the right, and then bring a long, horizontal line down on the left.
11.

Add two small points below the leaves…
12.

And then add a stem and another leaf below this one.
13.

Bring a reverse “L” shape down below this for the bottom of the stalk…
14.

And then add another section of stalk to the left of the third section.
15.

Follow this with another section below…
16.

And then a third, this one connecting with the segment to the right.
17.

Add a series of pointed leaves to the left of the top section.
18.

Finally, use a bright green pen to shade in the plant and complete your tree.
And voila! You have your very own bamboo tree to enjoy and care for – don’t forget to learn how you can play your part in conserving this precious resource.
