Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and draw a small circle in the top right section of your page. Fill this in almost completely, leaving a small dot in the center.
2.

Add a triangle shape to the bottom left of this circle.
3.

Now, bring a curved line up from the triangle, and take this across to the right and down. Follow this with a curved line from the bottom of the triangle, heading down and right.
4.

Add a curved line to the end of this line, angled at around 45 degrees, and take this to a point at the bottom, before bringing the top line back up slightly to form the wing of your bird.
5.

Add another curved line to complete the outline of the body.
6.

Now, add a series of curved lines above the wings to create feathers…
7.

And add a pointed “triangle” shape to the back for the tail.
8.

Now, bring a curved line across from the front to the top of the wing…
9.

And add three small “w” shapes for the feathers of the breast.
10.

Next, bring down two sets of short, parallel lines from the bottom of the bird, creating thin legs.
11.

Add three “spikes” to the bottom of each leg for claws…
12.

And then connect these with a curved line in the center. Continue this curved line to the right, and add two sharp “forks” to create branches.
13.

Add another set of branches to the bottom…
14.

And then continue this line across, below the feet, and down to the bottom of the page.
15.

Extend the top line to the left, and add another pair of branches.
16.

Continue the trunk down slightly, add another “fork”, and then extend the line towards the bottom of the page…
17.

At the bottom of this, bring a line up towards the top of the page, and add three spiky branches to the top, followed by another one off to the left.
18.

Bring the line down, then take it back up to another section of sharp, pointed branches.
19.

Extend the left line down, then out for a branch on the left. After this, continue the line down towards the bottom of the page.
20.

Now, add another “finger” to each of the branches on the bottom section of the tree.
21.

Now, add a small leaf to the top of each branch, all across the tree.
22.

Grab a yellow pen, and shade the feet and beak of your bird.
23.

Use a blue pen to fill in the head, back, and tail of your bird, leaving the chest white.
24.

Use a brown pen for the trunk and branches…
25.

And then shade the leaves with a bright, vibrant green pen.
And there we have it – a cute bird perched in a tree, simply watching the world go by. Who could ask for anything better than that?
