Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a blue pen, and drawing a curved line in the right half of your page. Bring this down and across in a “backward C” shape, making sure that you keep the lines jagged as you go.
2.

Add two “kidney” shapes to the bottom of this, slightly to the right to create a bow…
3.

And then add two short, light marks inside each of these. Next, add a curved triangle shape to the top of the head, and draw a line down the middle.
4.

Extend the top line across and up slightly, and then add a “teardrop” shape to the end…
5.

Before bringing a jagged line down from the bottom of this.
6.

Bring another jagged section down, and then extend a smooth line down, across in three “toes”, and back up to the bottom of the face.
7.

To the right of this, bring a curved line across, add two points, and bring a curve up to meet the bottom of the bow…
8.

Add another foot to the right of the first…
9.

And then bring a curve across from the left foot, curving back up and across to the right, to meet the bottom of the face.
10.

Add another foot below this…
11.

Next, bring two curved lines up and across to the left, and join these at the end to create a tail.
12.

Now, add a large “bumpy” shape to the center of the face, and across the tip of the tail…
13.

And add two “horseshoe” shapes above this, with a smaller curve inside each, to create eyes.
14.

Add a wavy “w” shape below the line, and bring a “u” shape down from this for a tongue. Add a series of straight lines to either side – every cat needs their whiskers!
15.

Use a red pen to add a small triangle above the “w” shape, and fill in the tongue with the same shade.
16.

Use a black fineliner pen to add small crescent moon shapes inside the eyes…
17.

And then fill in the bow with a purple pen.
18.

Next, use the blue pen to add a series of stripes along the tail, legs, and body of the cat. Add a few coming down from the top of the head.
19.

Now, use a cyan pen for the inside of the eyes, the head, and body of the cat, leaving the chest and tip of the tail white.
20.

Use a pale orange pencil to add a long, thin shape to the bottom of the cat, and fill this in with the orange.
21.

Finally, use a purple pen for the tie to complete your look!
And just like that, we have created an adorable blue cat – who said that kitties aren’t adorable in all colors?
