The humble frog is typically presented as being a bright, vibrant shade of green, but it can also come in a variety of other colors – including bright blue! Learn now how to draw your very own blue frog.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start by taking a blue pen, and drawing a wide “m” at the top of your page. Extend the left-hand side of the “m” downwards slightly.
Use a cyan pen to add two circles just below the top of the shape…
And then use the blue pen to bring the curved lines in, and back out to meet at a point at the bottom.
Use two lines to create a “double V” shape off to the right, creating an arm for your frog. Add four sharp “points” to the end of this, and then add small circles to the end of each point.
Fill in the circles, and the very first section of the arm with the blue…
And then draw a wavy line down to the left eye, and across the left section of the body. Fill this in with the blue.
Add another arm and toes to the left-hand side…
And then being two lines up at a 45-degree angle from the bottom, before angling them back down towards the bottom of the page. End with a curve to create a foot.
Add three “points”, topped with circles, to the bottom of this…
And then bring another line down towards the bottom left-hand corner of your page, down and across to end in another foot.
Bring a line across from the top of this, and curve it back up to meet the bottom of the body.
Add a blue section to the top of the right leg…
And add a “stripe” descending from the center of the forehead.
Now, use an orange pen to add a curved line inside each of the eyes…
And a black pen to add a series of small dots all over the body.
Use a cyan pen to fill in the rest of the body…
And a cyan pencil to gently shade in the eyes.
And voila! You have created your very own, super exotic blue frog – now, what is this species called?
