Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black fineliner, and draw a small, curved, slightly triangular shape in the center of your page.
2.

Add a small circle inside this, and follow this with curved lines at the bottom to create a nose and mouth.
3.

Add two curved, angled “C” shapes above this, and connect these in the center with a curved line, creating those distinctive bear ears.
4.

Add a small half circle shape inside each of the ears…
5.

And then connect these to the nose with curved lines on either side.
6.

Now, add two small black dots just above the nose and mouth for the eyes.
7.

Add a curved “arrow” shape to the left, pointing towards the left of the page, and curve this under at the end.
8.

Next, draw another curved line to the right of this, and add a “hook” to the bottom.
9.

Connect this line to the previous one with three small bumps, forming the paw and foot of your bear.
10.

Bring a curved line up from the right side of this leg, curving towards the top right-hand corner of the page. Then, draw another curved line to the right of this, ending in another small “hook”.
11.

Connect this to the leg on the left with more bumpy toes…
12.

And then bring a short, curved line across from the left of the left ear. Add another, longer curved line beside this, and take this across and down towards the bottom of the page.
13.

Bring a curved line across from behind the leg, and curve this across and up…
14.

And then add another leg to the back.
15.

Follow this with a fourth leg just in front of the one you just drew…
16.

And then shade the nose of your polar bear with the black pen.
17.

Use a light brown pen to add color to the rest of the face around the nose and mouth.
18.

Then, use a darker brown pen to complete the rest of your bear.
And there we have it – your own super cute bear, and one that is not scary at all. In fact, all that he really needs is a name.
