Doesn’t he look happy! Now you are the proud owner of your very own bunny with glasses, why not find out more about these wonderful creatures, and make sure you are ready to take on the challenge of owning your very own pet bunny.

Bunnies are not only cute, adorable pets, but they are also fascinating animals in their own right.

Did you know, for example, that while the typical perception of bunnies is as tiny, furry creatures, they can actually reach some pretty impressive sizes, with the largest bunny in the world weighing around 50 lbs and reaching an incredible 4 foot three in height! This hefty pet is considered so valuable such his family have him insured for $1.6 million, and he even has his own bodyguard to keep him safe at all times!

While it is unlikely that your new pet will reach these dizzying heights, just remember that every female bunny can produce up to 8 litters per year, and that each of these litters can contain an enormous number of kittens – or baby bunnies. In fact, the largest litter ever recorded contained a whopping 24 babies – that should be an excellent incentive for you to get your new pet spayed or neutered!

If you do come across a baby bunny, they may look little different to what you were expecting – when rabbits are born, they are completely furless, and will not open their eyes until they are around 2 weeks old – well they may look at little strange, they are also undeniably adorable!

Taking good care of your pet means making sure they have somewhere warm and safe to sleep, plenty of healthy, nutritious food, and that you take the time to regularly clip their sharp claws and keep their 28 teeth neat and filed – plenty of toys and good food should take care of this for you.
