Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Use a black pen and a ruler to draw two diagonal, parallel lines in the center of your page. Add small dots to the top of this.
2.

Connect these lines at the bottom with a curved line.
3.

Add a large circle to the top of the lines…
4.

And then add another, smaller circle inside this.
5.

Next, add two curved, parallel lines inside this central circle.
6.

Add three curved, horizontal lines across this…
7.

Bring two curved lines across to the right of this shape, and connect them with a curved line.
8.

Add three curved lines along this…
9.

And then add vertical, curved lines across these.
10.

Now, add a short curved line to the left of this, and add two bumps to the bottom of this – one long, and one shorter.
11.

Add two small lines to the right of this…
12.

And then add two large loops to the top of the shape, creating a butterfly.
13.

Add another butterfly behind the first…
14.

And then add the body of a third butterfly below this.
15.

Add a set of wings on either side of the body – larger at the top, and smaller at the bottom.
16.

Add two curved lines to the top of this for antennae.
17.

Now, add another body to the bottom of these ones, and add two wings to the left of this, and two antennae to the top.
18.

Follow this with another four-winged butterfly below…
19.

And then add three more butterflies to the right of the net.
20.

Grab a brown pen, and use this to shade the main section of the net.
21.

Use an orange pen to color two of the butterflies…
22.

And pick a blue pen for a third butterfly.
23.

Next, use a purple pen for three more of the insects…
24.

And a red pen for another one on the right.
25.

Finally, use a green pen for the final butterfly.
And there we have it – a sea of stunning butterflies, and your very own net to catch and enjoy them – just remember to be gentle, and let them go afterward!
