When it comes to comfort food, sometimes a delicious cake is the only thing that can really hit the spot – so let’s make sure that we draw ours with a slice already missing! Let’s get started.

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a black pen, and drawing a single, vertical line in the center of your page, around a quarter of an inch from the bottom.
2.

Now, add two shorter lines to the left of this.
3.

Now, add a line extending from the top of the original line, heading out at a 45-degree angle. Connect this to the top of the left-hand line with a slightly angled line, giving you a point to the right.
4.

Bring the bottom of the top left-hand line across to meet the original line, and repeat this process on the bottom line, giving you two rectangle shapes.
5.

Now, add a large circle all around the top, from the top left corner left-hand line, round to the top of the original line.
6.

Bring a vertical line down from the right-hand side of the curve, and then connect this to the bottom of the original line with a curve.
7.

Bring another vertical line down from the left, and once again, join this to the bottom rectangle with a curved line.
8.

Add a few small marks around the top and bottom of the cake…
9.

And then use a gray pencil to add two sets of lines, each with spikes and branches protruding.
10.

Fill in these areas with the gray…
11.

And continue to add shapes and designs all across the top of the cake.
12.

Add a few designs to the right-hand section…
13.

And then use a brown pen to add “sprinkles” to the inside.
14.

Take a brown pencil, and fill in the rest of the inside of the cake…
15.

Before using a gray pencil to shade the remaining areas.
And just like that, you have a delicious cake, just waiting for another slice to be taken… time for tea and cake anyone?
