Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Begin with a pencil, and use this and a ruler to add a horizontal line across your page. Then, add a vertical line coming up from the center of this.
2.

Add short vertical lines to the ends of the original line…
3.

And connect these to the center line with two angled lines, adding more lines to the top of these for a roof.
4.

Next, draw a large triangle in the center of the shape…
5.

And add smaller triangles to the sides and a rectangle to the bottom.
6.

Use the ruler to bring a vertical line up at the top, one at each side, and one in the center of these two.
7.

Add a point to the central top line, and take these down, in and down to meet the top of the roof, creating a tree.
8.

Add two more trees to either side…
9.

And then draw a small campfire in the center of your tent.
10.

Add another flame inside this main one…
11.

Bring two logs out from the bottom, angling these to the sides.
12.

Fill in the space in between these two logs with more logs.
13.

Add two bumps to the sides of the image, below the trees, and then add a bump to the center of this for the ground around the campsite.
14.

Use a black fineliner to go over the outlines…
15.

And then remove any pencil marks with an eraser.
16.

Use a light blue pen to shade the main body of the tent, leaving the flap white.
17.

Use a darker blue pen for the flaps of the tent.
18.

Now, use a navy pen to shade the bottom of the tent flap, and the top of the tent.
19.

Now, use a black pen to shade the opening of the tent.
20.

Grab an orange pen for the outside of the fire…
21.

Shade the center of the fire with a darker orange pen.
22.

Now, use a brown pen to add color to the logs.
23.

Finally, use a green pen to shade the ground and the surrounding trees.
And voila – you have your very own tranquil, peaceful space to call your own and connect to the wonders and beauty of nature.
