Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start by using a gray pencil to draw a small “kidney” shape to the bottom left of your page, filling this in with the gray pencil.
2.
Bring a curved line across to the left of this, and take this down, across to the left, and then down and across to the right to form the ear, head, and trunk of the elephant.
3.
Connect this to the bottom of the right ear with a curved line, and then add a small half-circle smile to the right of the trunk. Make the bottom of the trunk a little thicker, and then add another ear to the left of the head.

Use the gray pencil to shade the head of the elephant…

And then use a black pen to add curved lines up the length of the trunk, and add two dots for the eyes at the top of the trunk.

Shade the bottom of the mouth with the red pen…

And then use a dark gray pen to go over the edges of the ears, and the bottom of the face and trunk.

Use a red pen to add a curved square shape to the outside of the head, bringing the bottom lines down slightly.

Use a black pen to add a small mark to the bottom of this…

And then use a bright blue pen to add a curved shape to the left of this.
11.
Use a yellow pen to add another small shape beside the blue point.

Now, use a black pen to add two large rings to the bottom of the elephant, one to the right of the left.

Use the blue pen to add a small circle inside each black circle…

And then use a red pen to add a rectangle to the bottom of the elephant’s face, connecting this to the lines above, and filling this in for the cab of the fire engine.

Now, add a large arrow shape, pointing to the right, for the back of the fire engine. Add an angled line just inside the point.

Use the blue pen to add a small horn shape to the inside of this section, and add two small circles to the left of this.

Use a black pen to add a small oval to the narrow end of the horn…

And then use a yellow pen to add a spiral to the right side.
19.
Grab a black pen and a ruler, and add two diagonal lines to the top of the truck.

Join these with short lines to create the ladder.

Use a red pencil to add a thicker line around the edge of the engine.
22.
Add long, thin oval shapes below the blue dots with the red pen.
23.
Now, shade the main body of the engine with the red pencil.
24.
Use the gray pencil to add two lines to the bottom of the engine, and add slanted rectangles inside this.
25.
Shade the spaces around the rectangles with the pencil.
26.
Finally, use the yellow pen to add a small shape to the top of the cab.
And there we have it – your very own cartoon fire truck, complete with an elephant driver. But what emergency are they heading off to next?
