Sharks have something of a bad reputation, but they are actually smart, intelligent creatures – and this is particularly true of hammerheads! Why not break the stigma and bring your own cute shark to life through the power of art? Let’s get started!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Grab a black pen, and add a wavy line to the top left-hand corner of your page.
Bring this down at the ends, and loop the lines across and up.
Add a slight curve to the left shape, and bring a curved line across from the right, taking this down, right and back up.
Add two pointed shapes to the end of this for the tail of your shark.
Connect this to the left shape with a curved line.
Add a curved fin to the top, just in front of the tail, and repeat this on the bottom. Add another small fin to the center of these.
Add two small circles to the shapes at the top for those distinctive hammerhead eyes…
And add a curved line halfway down for the details of the eyes.
Add a wavy line in the center for the mouth, and add a mark to the end of this.
Bring a “U” shape to the bottom of this, and add a curved line below for the mouth. Add an “m” shape to the bottom of the mouth.
Add a curved line down the center of the body of your shark.
Now, add a fin just behind the right eye, and another two below this, with one at the bottom of the body.
Use a blue pen to shade these fins, the top of the body, and the tail.
Use a brown pen for the top of the mouth…
And a bright pink for the tongue.
Grab a gray pen, and shade the bottom of the body and the edge of the eyes.
And there we have it – who said that sharks had to be scary and fearsome; this guy looks pretty friendly to us!
