Potatoes are veggies that rarely get the respect that they deserve – but we are about to change that by bringing our very own to life; let’s create our own cartoon potato in just a few short steps.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Grab a black pen, and ad a long, curved shape in the right of your page, with a “hook” at both ends,
Bring a curved line up from the sides of this, and join these at the top to create a bucket shape.
Add curved lines down the center of this.
Add a large “U” shape to the bottom of this.
Add two more small circles to the top of this for the eyes…
And then add small “crescent moon” shapes inside this.
Add a small half circle shape in between these eyes…
And then use a thicker black pen to add a curved line to the left, with a mark to the end, and then an arrow shape to the right, with a small bump on the end.
Switch back to a black fineliner, and bring down two sets of parallel lines from the bottom of the body, adding a bump to the left of each for feet.
Fill the legs in with the black pen…
Add an oval shape to the hand on the left…
And add three marks above this.
Use a black pen to shade the eyes and the nose…
And then use a brown pen for the hat.
Grab a light orange pen, and shade the main body of the potato, as well as the one he is holding.
And voila – a cheeky, happy-looking fellow, just waiting for adventure – but where will his curiosity take him?
