Cats have a lot of skills – from apparently devouring an entire roast chicken in one mouthful, stalking and capturing their prey with minimal effort, and of course, sleeping for days without moving. But dancing? That’s a new one! Get ready to bring the scene to life in just a few simple steps below.

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black fineliner pen, and add a small oval shape to the middle of your page. Then, add a soft “W” shape underneath to create a mouth and nose for your cat.
2.

Add a long “U” shape to the bottom of this…
3.

And then a series of small dots around the edges of the nose.
4.

Add two short, curved lines above the nose…
5.

And then two more sets of lines above this – the bottom one slightly shorter than the top.
6.

Turn the top line into two triangles, connected by a curved line in the middle, to create the top of the cat’s head.
7.

Bring two lines across and down the sides to create the outline of the face.
8.

On the left-hand side of the face, bring the line down towards the bottom of the page in a slightly wavy line.
9.

At the bottom of this, add a short bumpy line, and then bring another line up slightly, angling this towards the top right-hand corner of the page.
10.

Repeat this shape on the right to create a second leg, and then join these with a curve in the middle.
11.

Return to the right-hand side of the face, and bring a curved line down towards the bottom right-hand side of the page. Once again, add a few small bumps to the end of this, and then bring the line back in.
12.

Just to the right of the end of this line, bring a curve out, down and in to meet the bottom right leg.
13.

Add another arm to the left, roughly in line with that on the right.
14.

Add two small circles to the face, one on either side of the nose.
15.

Then, add a curved line, like an inverted “V” shape, curving up to the circle on the cheek, up to the center of the face and back down.
16.

Add two patches to the body of the cat…
17.

And then add curved lines to the face to create whiskers for your cat…
18.

Grab a pink pen, and use this to fill in the circles on the cheek.
19.

Grab a red pen, and use this to add a little color to the nose…
20.

Before filling in the patches with the gray pen.
And there we have it – a super cool cat, enjoying the thrill of dancing to his favorite tune!
