Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a gray pencil and drawing a compass, and drawing a large circle in the center of your page.
2.

Next, use the gray pencil and a ruler to add a straight line through the center of this circle, ending at the bottom.
3.

Use the gray pencil and ruler to add a second line, exactly halfway up the circle.
4.

Then, add a third line, this time across the top of the page.
5.

Now, add a line just above the middle one, before adding another short line right at the very top of the circle, creating a tiny section in this space.
6.

Use the gray pencil to draw a curved line from the edge of this short line to the line at the top, and then bring another line down from this top line to the one above the middle.
7.

Next, repeat this process on the other side, creating an identical shape on the left.
8.

Now, add another curved line just over halfway across the shape you have created, bringing a curve from the top point to the edge of the circle. Repeat this on both sides.
9.

Next, add a small oval shape just below the central line.
10.

Just beneath this, add a soft, curved “w” shape, with the central point in line with the vertical line.
11.

Add a “U” shape from the bottom of this, again, in the center of the page.
12.

Now, add two long oval shapes, one on either side of the central circle, with the tops and bottoms spanning the central and second lines.
13.

Add another curved line inside this, this time ending at the central line.
14.

Now, add a small “horseshoe” shape inside each of these smaller circles, each at an angle.
15.

Now add another, even smaller circle inside the second one – this should cross the second line, with most of the shape underneath this line.
16.

Now add yet another smaller circle inside this one – you should be able to see the eyes and features of the cat emoji taking shape.
17.

Next, bring three curved lines out on either side, heading towards the bottom corners of the page.
18.

Now, bring a curved line down on either side of the central, vertical line, curving to meet the edge of each eye. Continue the line after the eye to create a curved shape on both sides of the face.
19.

Take a black pen, and add a thick, black outline to the main shape of the face, and the detail of the ears.
20.

Add the same thick black to the whiskers…
21.

And to the detail inside the eye, leaving the small “horseshoe” shapes unlined for the moment.
22.

Take a black fine liner pen, and use this to go over the shapes on either side of the face, and the details inside the eyes.
23.

Now, use an eraser to remove all pencil marks, leaving strong black outlines.
24.

Take a black pen, and fill in the bottom section of the inner eyes.
25.

Grab a pink pen, and use this to fill in the inside section of the ears.
26.

Use an orange pen to fill in the curved sections of the face.
27.

Use a green pen to add color to the eyes, and complete your cute cat emoji.
And voila! You are the proud owner of your very own adorable cat emoji – the perfect addition to notebooks, textiles, and anything else you can think of!
