Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Begin by using a black fineliner pen to add a small, round shape in the center of your page, and fill this in.
2.

Bring two curved lines down from the middle of this, flicking off into either direction.
3.

Enclose this shape in a larger circle…
4.

And then add two semicircles above the shape, with small marks flicking down towards the bottom of the page – these are your cat’s eyes and eyelashes.
5.

Next, add two smaller circles, one on either side of your original shape.
6.

Add a curved line above the eyes, and add a “bump” to either end of this, creating ears.
7.

Add a smaller, curved shape inside each of the ears…
8.

And then extend the lines down from the bottom of each ear, curving down and across towards the center.
9.

At the end of each line, continue the shape out slightly, and then curving down to meet the bottom of the page.
10.

On the left-hand side, add two long, thin curved lines, angling up towards the top left-hand corner of the page, and joined with a curve at the end – this is the tail of your kitty.
11.

Next, add three long, thin shapes to the top of the head, giving your cat some cute tiger stripes.
12.

Add three more stripes down each side of the body, heading in towards the center…
13.

And then add more stripes on alternating sides of the tail.
14.

Add a small “swirl” shape to the center of the body, roughly level with the top set of stripes.
15.

Bring a long, thin “horseshoe” shape down from the bottom of this swirl…
16.

And then divide this shape into three, using two curved lines – this is the head of your rose.
17.

Bring two parallel lines down from the bottom of the rose to create a stem…
18.

And then add two “C” shapes, one on each side, both angles at around 45 degrees.
19.

Add a sharp-pointed “leaf” in the top section, to the left of the stem.
20.

Now, add a series of small hearts all around the outside of your cat…
21.

And draw whiskers on both sides of the face with three short, sharp lines.
22.

Grab a light brown pen, and use this to shade in the body of your feline friend.
23.

Add some color to the cheeks with a pink pen…
24.

And fill in the stripes on the body with a brown-orange pen.
25.

Grab a bold red pen for the head of the rose, and the hearts around the kitty…
26.

Before taking a green pen to complete the leaf.
And just like that, you have a super romantic cat, ready to present a beautiful rose to his beloved. Will the story end in romance or heartbreak? That is really up to you!
