The most wonderful time of year does not only apply to humans – but it is also important to ensure that your feline friends enjoy the festive period too! Want your very own super cute Christmas cat to enjoy? Then let’s get started!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start with a black pen, and add an angled line to the center of your page. At the end of this, take the line up into a triangle shape, and then back down towards the bottom right corner of the page.
Add another small triangle inside the larger triangle shape to create an ear for your cat.
Next, add a short, curved mark at the end of your original line…
And then bring the line across towards the ear on the right.
Next, add three small circle shapes just above the ear, and add small marks inside each of these.
Next, bring out three jagged shapes to create the leaves of your sprig of holly.
From the left of this, bring a line across to the left, and then curve it down to a point. At this point, bring the line back up to meet the first line, and then continue it up slightly, forking it at the top. Do you see a Santa hat starting to emerge?
Now for some details – add a small oval shape to the center of the face, and bring down two curved lines out in either direction for a nose and wide kitty smile. Add a small mark to the top of each line.
Bring a curved line across from the sides of the nose, and add two jagged “points”. Then, join both sides together with a curved line to create the bottom of the face.
Add a small, curved line beneath the mouth, and then add three dots on either side of the mouth.
Bring out three long, curving whiskers on either side…
Now, add a horseshoe shape above the top line of the face, and add a thick, black “ring” inside this to create one eye. Add a thick, curved brow above this.
Add a second eye to the left of the first, partially obscured by the Santa hat.
Bring a curved line down from the bottom right of the face, and then take this across to the right, and curve it down towards the bottom. At the bottom of the page, add a “bump”, and then bring the line across to the left.
At the end, add another “bump” and then a larger “C” shape to start creating the back leg and paw.
From the top of the “C” shape, bring a curved line up, add three “points”, and then curve the line down.
Now, bring a curved line down to the front, and add another two “bumps” for the front paws.
Add another leg and paw in front of the first…
And then add a black, jagged shaded section just below the left-hand side of the face.
Now, bring up two curved lines from the back. Angle these up and across to the right, and then join them with a curved line at the end to create the tail.
Add a series of short, horizontal stripes all down the length of the tail…
And add a short jagged line in front of the black section of the chest, and a fluffy ball to the pointed end of the Santa hat.
Grab a red pen, and fill in the berries of the holly on the hat.
Use a green pen for the leaves, leaving a white stripe on the left side…
And then fill in this white section with a slightly lighter green pen.
Grab the black pen, and add a semicircle to the tip of the tail. Then, draw a small circle below this.
Use a gray pen to fill in the space around these shapes, and alternating stripes of the tail. Then, fill in the body, the paws, the chest, and the top of the face.
Now, use a lighter gray pen for the alternate stripes, the paws, the chest, and the bottom of the face.
Fill in the hat with a red pen for that festive vibe…
And then go over the top of this with a brown pen.
Finally, use a pink pen to fill in the ear and the nose.
And just in time for Christmas – we have our very own adorable festive cat, just waiting to steal the rest of the turkey…
