Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a black fineliner pen, and draw a curved line in the right half of your page. Add another curved line just behind this, and then turn this into a semicircle, with a “wedge” taken out of the front.

Now, repeat this shape to the left, this time facing towards the left of the page, and with two “wedge” shapes taken out. These are the leaves of your tree!

Add a third, larger leaf to the bottom of the left one…

And then add another leaf, with three “wedges” pointing towards the bottom of the page.

Next, add another leaf to the right…

And then another just beside the one at the bottom to complete the “palm”.

Add two curved lines to the center, to create the coconuts…

And then bring down two wavy, parallel lines, heading towards the bottom of the page.

At the bottom, add a jagged “cloud” shape.

Then, add a series of short lines all up the length of the trunk.

Grab a green pen, and add color in a stripe, along the center and top of each leaf.

Use a dark green pen for the rest of the leaf and the grass underneath…
13.
And then use a brown pen for the trunk to complete your tree!
And voila – now all you need to do is kick back, relax, and imagine the sound of the waves…
