In recent years, the avocado has emerged as the fruit of choice for foodies across the globe – along with an amazement that it is not, in fact, a vegetable. Credited with the ability to do everything from curing health issues to boosting immunity, let’s take it one step further, and create an avocado that is clued up on the latest dance craze.
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start by taking a gray pencil, and using this to create an oval “egg” shape to the right of the center of your page.
Add another, smaller oval shape inside this first one, on the right-hand side of the shape. Then, add a tiny “teardrop” shape inside this second one.
Add two more circular shapes just below the top of the main shape…
And then add a “crescent moon” shape to the right of your avocado.
Add a short line above the top line, on the left-hand side…
Before using a brown pen to add another crescent moon shape to the outside edge of the inner oval, and filling in the space.
Take an orange pencil, and use this to add a thin outline to the rest of the smaller oval, including the “teardrop” shape.
Grab a brown pencil, and use this to fill in the rest of the smaller oval.
Now use a black pen to draw two parallel lines emerging from the top right of the shape, towards the top right-hand corner. End these in a rough point, and then add another “prong” to the bottom to create a hand.
On the left-hand side of the shape, add a long, thin section, and then bring a line down from this, towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page, before curving it back in and across to loop at the bottom.
Now, use the black to thicken these lines, adding another arm with a hand at the end.
Next, add a bent line to the bottom of the avocado to create one leg…
And then repeat this to create the second.
Grab a green pen, and go over the right-hand edge of the crescent shape at the top. Bring the green across to meet the outside line, then back in and down. Bring another line across, this time at a slight angle, and then fill in the space below this.
Use a light green pen to fill in the gaps in this section…
And then use a red pen to add a small semicircle beneath the eyes.
Switch to a black liner, and add two small circles inside the eyes, with two smaller dots inside these. Fill in the space around the dots to complete the cheeky eyes.
Use a yellow pencil to fill in the main body of the avocado with a bright, cheerful shade…
And then use a brown pencil to create a “figure eight” effect around the eyes.
Keep the brown pen, and add a shoe to the right leg…
And then the left!
Change to a gray pencil, and draw a long, thin “oval” shape underneath the feet, filling this in to create a shadow.
Use a cyan pencil to outline the left-hand side of the avocado and the space between the legs…
Before repeating this on the right-hand side.
Next, add a larger, “cloud” around this smaller one, joining the ends on either side with a point.
Finally, fill in the “cloud” with the cyan pencil to complete the look.
And in just a few short steps, you have your very own super cool dabbing avocado – they really are great at everything!
