Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Begin by using a pencil to create two curved, triangles shapes on the right of your page – these will be your crow’s beak.
2.

Bring a curved line across from the top and bottom of this beak, across to the left, and join them with a zig-zag line for the face.
3.

Bring a curved line across from the bottom, flicking this up slightly in a couple of places, and ending with a slight “hook”.
4.

From this hook, take a line across to the right, and then take this across and up towards the top right-hand corner.
5.

Return to the “flicks” you created on this bottom line, and bring them across to form two points, making the back one a little longer than the front, to draw the tailfeathers. Add two curved, pointed shapes to the right of these for claws.
6.

Connect the tail to the front of the bird with a curved line.
7.

Add a curved, triangular wing to the top of this…
8.

And then bring up a larger wing with long, jagged feathers.
9.

Add another wing to the right of the first.
10.

Draw a small circle just behind the beak for the eye of the bird.
11.

Use a gray pen to go over the right wing…
12.

And then fill this in with the gray pen.
13.

Use a dark gray pen for the other wing, and then use this shade for the face and the tail feathers, as well as the claws.
14.

Use a semi-dark gray pen to shade the beak of the bird and the little triangle at the bottom of the wing.
15.

Next, grab a black pen and add a small dot to the eye.
16.

Use the semi-dark gray pen to add two marks behind the face, at the bottom of the body…
17.

And use a light gray pen to shade this bottom section of your bird.
18.

Finally, use a gray pencil to add a line to the bottom of the body to finish your crow.
And just like that, you have a mysterious crow in flight – but where is his mission taking him?
