For many artists, the idea of drawing humans can be a little intimidating, as there is an idea that this is hard to do. In just a few short, simple steps we will help you to put this misconception to bed, as you create your very own drawing of a cute girl – let’s get started!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a thin black pen, and draw a curved oval shape in the center of your page.
2.
Add two curved lines inside this shape for eyes, and then a mouth below these.
3.
Add curved lines emerging from the top of the head, bringing these in towards the center as you do.
4.
Bring a curved line down on either side…

And follow this with two more curved sections on either side, adding points to the bottom of the outer section.
6.
Now, add two small semicircle shapes to the bottom of the face.
7.
Bring down two sets of parallel lines, joined at the end with a point, and crossing over at the end.
8.
Take a curved line down from below the semi-circle shapes, and connect these at the bottom with a curved line to create the body.
9.
Bring down another set of pointed shapes at the bottom, this time creating legs.
10.
Add two small, curved shapes on either side of the face, at the bottom of the hair.

Add curved shapes to the right of this…

And repeat this towards the right, creating a “rope”.
13.
Add another row below this one to create a braid.
14.
Repeat this on the left…
15.
And then add a ribbon to the bottom of each braid.

Add lines to the semicircle shapes to create a “criss-cross” effect.

Follow this with checks on the dress…

And use a yellow pen for the hair.
19.
Then, use a pink pen for the dress, the mouth, and spots of color on the cheeks.
And there we have it – your very own super cute girl in just a few steps!
