As the old adage goes: an apple a day can keep the doctor away, and they also have the added bonus of tasting delicious while keeping you healthy! Sadly, merely drawing an apple does not offer the same health benefits as actually eating one, but they are nonetheless a lot of fun to bring to life through the power of art!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and draw two parallel curved lines in the center of your page, and connect the top with a straight line.
2.

Add a curved line to the bottom, extending it out to the left, creating the stalk of your apple.
3.

Add a large leaf shape to the right of the stalk…
4.

And add two small curved lines inside the main leaf.
5.

Then, add a line curving out to the left, down to the bottom of the page, and across to the right, flicking it up at the end.
6.

Then repeat this on the other side to complete the outline of your apple.
7.

Add a long, thin point to the left-hand side of the apple, just inside the top left curve.
8.

Then, add an oval shape to the inside of the right line, with a small circle below it.
9.

Add a large, curved semicircle to the bottom of the face, just above the bottom line, and add short curved lines to the top of this, creating a mouth for your apple.
10.

Then, add two curved lines inside this to create an “m” shape inside the mouth.
11.

Add another curved line to the left-hand side of the mouth…
12.

And then add two circles above this – the left one should be slightly smaller than the right.
13.

Add two smaller curved lines inside these circles, both to the right of the eye.
14.

Then add two small dots in the corner, and fill in the space between these and the inner ring.
15.

Add a few curved lines on the outside of both circles for long lashes…
16.

And then add curved shapes above the eyes to create bushy brows. Fill these in with the black pen.
17.

Use a brown pen to fill in the stalk with a strong shade…
18.

And then use a dark green pen for the leaf.
19.

Grab a red pen for the body of the apple, leaving the small sections blank.
20.

Grab a pink pen, and add color to the tongue at the bottom of the mouth…
21.

Before using an orange pen for the rest of the mouth.
22.

Finally, grab a blue pen and use this to add color to the eyes of your apple!
And there we have it – a delicious, cute and crunchy apple brought to life through the power of drawing. Why not try to experiment with a range of colors and shades to create an entire orchard?
