Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a fineliner pen, and drawing a jagged line in the center of your page, curving across and down.
2.

Next, add a large curved “backward C” shape to the right of this.
3.

Draw another, slightly smaller, shape inside the first to create an ear…
4.

And then continue the line down, out slightly, and across to the left.
5.

Extend the line a little more to the left, and add a small mark emerging from the bottom.
6.

Continue the line on the other side, curving it in towards the right at the top.
7.

Now, add another angled “C” shape to the top of this, creating the other ear and completing the outline of the face.
8.

Add a smaller shape inside the second ear…
9.

And then add a large half-circle shape to the right of the face. Use the fineliner pen to make the top curve a little thicker.
10.

Add a second eye to the left of the first, and then add two arches above the eyes, creating eyebrows.
11.

Bring a curved line down from the right-hand side of the face.
12.

Extend this down a little further, and then bring two curved lines up, across, and flicking off to the right, where they join with a curve. This is your lion’s tail!
13.

Now, return to the line of the body, and curve this to the left, up and across.
14.

Just beneath this, add a curved line which heads across to the left and ends with two small bumps for the back foot.
15.

Bring two more lines down from beneath the chin. The left one should be curved across to the right and then stop, and the right one should come down slightly and then across, before drawing a wavy line to the right.
16.

At the end of this, add three more toes for the front leg…
17.

And add a wavy line across the top of the toe to create the paw.
18.

Next, bring another wavy line down in the front, and add a third leg.
19.

Add another line to distinguish the paw…
20.

And then add a wide “heart” shape below the eyes for a cute lion nose.
21.

Bring a curved line across from the left of the nose, and curve this down, across to the right, and up for the top of the mouth. Underneath this, add a “u” shape, and then add a tongue inside.
22.

Bring two bumpy lines down from either end of the mouth.
23.

Now, use the black pen to add two ovals inside the eyes, and fill these in, leaving just a small dot in the center of each.
24.

Add a tuft of fur to the end of the tail…
25.

And then use a pink pen to add color to the inside of the ears and mouth, as well as the nose.
26.

Grab a blue pen, and use this to add color to the rings of the eyes…
27.

Before using an orange pen for most of the rest of the fur. Leave the top of the tuft, the tail, the paws and the chest white.
28.

Grab a lighter orange pen, and fill in the rest of the body, leaving paws and tail white…
29.

And then use a dark brown pen for the tuft at the end of the tail.
30.

Color the back leg with your orange pen.
31.

Now, take a gray pencil, and add color to the stomach, the bottom of the chin, and the chest and paws.
And just like that, you have your very own super cute lion cub to enjoy! Why not create a friend for him to hang out with, and then plan their adventures?
