When the summer nights are long and life is stressful, camping can be a great way to unwind, relax and get back to nature. To fully enjoy the experience, however, you need a cute campfire to keep you warm, tell your ghost stories over, and of course, roast the marshmallows! Let’s learn how to draw our own in a few short steps.

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a black pen, and drawing two dots above a semicircle to create a cute smiling face.
2.

With an orange pen, draw a “cloud” shape around the face, and fill this in.
3.

Now, use a red highlighter pen to draw a larger flame shape around everything…
4.

And add small dots, circles, and ovals inside this.
5.

Use the red highlighter pen to fill in this outer section, leaving the small shapes empty.
6.

Add a few sparks with dots and marks around the top…
7.

And then take a gray pencil and ruler, and draw a long, thin “sausage” shape beneath the campfire.
8.

Repeat this shape on the other side, creating a “crisis cross” effect.
9.

With the gray pencil, add a series of small circles and ovals to these long shapes…
10.

And then use a black pen to add spirals to the ends of the logs, and go over some of the details.
11.

Use a gray pencil to shade in the first log you drew…
12.

And use the black pen to highlight the details, making them crisp and sharp.
13.

Finally, use the gray pencil to fill in the second log and complete your drawing.
Now, doesn’t that look inviting? Time to set up the tent, unpack the food, and settle in for a glorious evening.
