We all know that cats can do pretty much anything they like – but flying? Well, why not!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a black pen, and drawing a wide ring at the top of your page.
2.

Now, add a curved shape just below this, with the right-hand side bending in slightly – almost like a boxing glove.
3.

Add another of these shapes to the left of the first…
4.

And then add a series of short, vertical marks coming up from the bottom of the shape. These are your cat’s paws!
5.

Add a wide “n” shape below the ring at the top.
6.

At either end of this, add a series of small “bumps” heading downwards, and then connect these to the paws with a short, curved line.
7.

Now, add two large, triangular ears to the top of the head…
8.

And add smaller shapes inside these main ones.
9.

Add a small almond shape to the center of the face for a nose…
10.

And bring two curved lines down and across from here.
11.

Now, add two circles above the nose to create eyes for your kitty.
12.

Add small dots to the eyes, and fill in the space around these with the black to create adorable eyes.
13.

Next, add two small oval shapes below the paws…
14.

And add small “D” shapes inside these, creating paw pads.
15.

Add a series of smaller circles above these shapes…
16.

And then connect the bottom paws together with a curved line. Next, connect the bottom and top paws with a curved line on either side.
17.

Now, add a bumpy curved shape to the center of the tummy…
18.

And bring down two curved, parallel lines from the center of the bottom of the body.
19.

Flick these out to the right slightly, and connect them at the end with a curve to create a tail.
20.

Now, add two “bumpy” shapes, one on either side of the face.
21.

Bring two curved lines up from the top of each of the paws…
22.

And then curve the line across to the sides of the page, before looping back down to meet the bumpy lines you created earlier. These are the wings of your cute cat…
23.

Now, extend the edges of the wings down slightly on both sides, and then bring a bumpy line across for the bottom of the wings.
24.

Now, grab a yellow pen, and use this to fill in the halo.
25.

Use a pink pencil to add color to the paws and ears…
26.

And then a brown pencil to gently shade the wings.
27.

Finally, use a black pencil to add color to the main body of your cat.
Voila – anyone who said that cats cannot fly was clearly looking in the wrong place…
