For many of us, dogs are far more than mere pets – they are much-loved members of the family, and we appreciate them for their cuteness, their loyalty, and their intelligence. Teaching a dog to dab, however? Well, let’s take a look at the results!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start by using a black pen to create a bumpy line at the top of your page, with three “bumps”.
At the end of this line, add another “bump” -this time, extend the right line down slightly further than before.
Continue this line across to the left and back up, resulting in a “triangle” shape with curved edges and points.
Repeat this rough shape on the right-hand side, this time adding a bottom to create more of a “diamond” shape – these will be your pooches’ ears.
Add another line below the left-hand ear, this time extending to the right, curving around and down, and coming back across to the left. Eventually, this will become the arm of the pup.
At the end of this line, bring a curved line down out and back in, creating a wave. Add two small marks to the right of this.
Then, add a “bump” at the end of the line, bring the line across horizontally, and then back up and in to create a leg. Curve the line across to the right.
At the end of this, add another horizontal line, and flick the end in towards the left.
Return to the arm, and connect the space with a slight “arrow” shaped line.
Add two small lines to the right-hand end of the arm, creating paws and claws, and two curved lines emerging from above the arm. On either side of these, add two marks, each angled inwards slightly.
Now, add a wavy line beneath the arm, almost like a wavy “W”, and add a semicircle to the space in the middle, creating a mouth and nose area.
Add a series of dots inside this space, ready for whiskers…
And two solid back shapes just below the arm.
Connect the right side of the nose area to the right ear…
And then bring a bumpy line down from here, drawing two “bumps”. At the bottom, add a long horizontal line, angled towards the top right-hand corner of the page. Curve the end, and bring another line back in and down.
Add another “bump” below this, and bring the line down to connect to the right foot you started to draw earlier.
In line with the “bump” on the right, add a “reverse C” shape and add a small line inside this, flicked up at the end.
Add small lines to the right arm to create paws…
And then use a brown pencil to fill in the ears.
Then, take an orange pencil, and color the head, the right arm, and the tail at the back. use the shade to add a large “U” to the chest of your dog, and add some color on either side of this.
Take the black pen, and add a small “X” to the bottom of the “U”.
Now, use the orange pencil to fill in the rest of the body and legs, leaving this “U” empty.
Take a pale orange crayon or pencil, and fill in this central space.
Next, use a gray pen for the bottom of the mouth…
And a gray crayon or pencil for the nose, finishing the design.
And there we have it – your very own super cute dabbing dog! Is he a DJ, a trendsetter, or a mere partygoer – you decide!
