Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a black pen, and drawing a short curved line in the left half of your page.
2.

Add a curved semicircle to the top of this to create a half circle.
3.

Take a black fineliner pen, and add a curve to the center of the shape, following the left hand curve of the semicircle.
4.

Add another line to the right of this, and then add a very small curved shape to the inside line.
5.

Now, use a black pen to add a short line below this, curving it up and back across to the left. Add a short vertical mark to the left end of the original line.
6.

Add another curved shape from the bottom of this line.
7.

Return to the top curve, and bring a line up towards the top left-hand corner of the page. Curve this across to the left, and then back up. Add a hook to the top of this.
8.

From this hook, bring a curve down towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
9.

Return to the line on the right, and continue this across to the left…
10.

And then add a backwards “C” shape to the end of this.
11.

At the end of the “C”, add two points at the top, and a long, thin square shape in the center to create fins for your fish.
12.

Now, add another fin to the top, curving up parallel with the back, and ending with a jagged line to connect the two sections.
13.

Add a long, thin “finger” shape inside this…
14.

And then add a vertical line emerging from the top of the tail, curving this across to the left, and ending with a “hook” back down.
15.

Add another “C” shape to the bottom of this…
16.

And then add a pointed shape for your fish’s tail.
17.

Next, add a tall, thin “flame” shape to the bottom of your page, just to the left of the center.
18.

Add a wavy line down the middle of this…
19.

And then add a taller, wavy line to the left of this.
20.

Turn this into a “flame” shape with another wavy line…
21.

And add a vertical line down the center of this, just as you did before.
22.

Now, add a series of small circles to the right of the fish, heading up to the top of the page.
23.

Add a curved “C” shape to the front of the face, around the nose and mouth…
24.

And then add a long, thin “u” shape just below the eye, to give your fish some distinctive markings.
25.

Add a similar pattern behind this, making the sides a little curvier…
26.

And then add a wavy line behind this.
27.

Now, add a series of horizontal lines across the front fin, and along the width of the top fin.
28.

Add a few curvy lines to the tail…
29.

And two small marks below the body, just above the reeds.
30.

Now, use the black pen to fill in the right-hand section of the eye…
31.

And use a blue pen for the ring of the iris, as well as the bubbles.
32.

Grab an orange pen, and use this for the front of the face, the fins, and the markings across the back.
33.

Use a purple pen for the rest of the fish’s body…
34.

And a green pen for the reeds at the bottom.
