Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and draw a curved line in the center of your page. Take the right side of this down at an angle, and then across towards the bottom left corner of the page.
2.

Add a long, thin shape to the right side, just as the line angles down to the left.
3.

Now, return to the left end of the original line, create a point, and then take this across to the right and parallel with the one above.
4.

Connect the two lines with a curved line at the bottom, and then add a “hook” to the bottom right.
5.

Now, bring a curved line down from below the “point” you created, and take this across to meet the “hook” shape, creating the outline of the face.
6.

Add two curved brows to the top half of the face…
7.

And then two rings below this for the eyes, with the tops slightly flatter than the sides and bottom.
8.

Draw a small circle inside each of these eyes…
9.

And then a curved “crescent moon” shape to the left of each.
10.

Now, add a pointed nose below the eyes, and add a small dot to the bottom right.
11.

Next, create a mouth below the nose with two curved sections, joined with short lines in the center.
12.

Bring a curved line down from the bottom of the shape at the back…
13.

And then add another, longer curved line behind this.
14.

Follow this with a third curved line to the right, ending with a “flick” at the end…
15.

And then use this “flick” to bring another curved line up.
16.

Continue to add sections of the ponytail, growing shorter as you move to the right.
17.

Add a series of curved, horizontal lines across the top of the head…
18.

And then bring two curved lines down from the bottom of the face to create the neck.
19.

Add a curved line to the bottom left line, and then take this across to the right, meeting the bottom of the ponytail.
20.

Next, bring a curved line across to the left from the curve, and then down towards the bottom of the page.
21.

Bring another curved line down to the left of that in the middle, and then add another curve to the end.
22.

Add a small bump to the left of the arm.
23.

Use a black pen to shade the ponytail…
24.

And then use a brown pen to shade the outside of the eyes.
25.

Color the lips with a pink pen…
26.

And then shade the top with a dark blue pen.
27.

Use a light brown pencil to shade the face and arms of the girl.
And there we have it – your very own girl with a cute ponytail. But what is her story, and what adventures will she go on? That is up to you!
