Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Use a black pen to draw a wavy oval shape in the center of your page.
2.

Bring across an “m” shape, and curl the ends under slightly.
3.

Now, add a large “u” shape to the bottom of this, creating the outline of the face.
4.

Use a black fineliner pen to add two small circles to the top of the face…
5.

And then add a larger circle around this.
6.

Now, add a “heart shape” to the face, just below the eyes…
7.

And add two small, “almond” shapes inside this for nostrils.
8.

Next, add two small circles, one on either side of this central section.
9.

Add two curved lines, one to either side of the face.
10.

Now, add a series of small circles to the top of the head.
11.

Use the black pen to add a wavy line beneath the nostrils…
12.

And then bring a wavy line down from the lefthand side of the face, waving towards the bottom of the page.
13.

Next, bring another line down, this time pointing towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
14.

Add another vertical, wavy line descending from left before the end of the line…
15.

And connect these vertical lines together with a straight horizontal line.
16.

Bring another short line down to the right of this…
17.

And then bring another line down from the right of the face, down towards the bottom of the page.
18.

Connect these at the end with a horizontal line.
19.

Next, bring a line across to the right, and then curving down towards the bottom of the page, waving slightly as you get to the bottom.
20.

Bring another curved line in just inside this one…
21.

Connect the back lines with a short horizontal line, and then connect the back and front sections with a short curved line.
22.

Add a “bumpy” line below the face…
23.

And then add a series of “bumps” to the bottom of each of the legs.
24.

Grab a black fineliner pen, and add a series of collections of “droplets” all across the body.
25.

Now, grab a black pencil, and fill in the bumpy sections at the bottom, the back and the chest of your gorilla, as well as the small droplet shapes.
26.

Use an orange pencil to add two spots of color to the cheeks…
27.

And then use a black pen to fill in the rest of the coat.
And voila! An intelligent, curious, and gentle gorilla, just waiting for you to discover all its interesting facts!
