Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a black fineliner pen, and drawing a curve in the right half of your page. As you curve round to the right, add a jagged section to the line.
2.

Continue the curve across to the left, adding another jagged section.
3.

Bring the line across, adding a few bumps as you go…
4.

And then connect the lines with a small point at the bottom.
5.

Add a curved shape just above the point for a nose and then bring down two curved lines for your jaguar’s mouth.
6.

Bring two short lines up, one on either side of the nose…
7.

And add a slightly curved line halfway up these. Connect the ends of this line to the outside of the face with curved, angled lines. Then, add two “almond” shapes above this for eyes.
8.

Inside the eyes, add two circles, and then two dots in the center.
9.

Now, add two triangle shapes to the top of the head, one on each side. Add a wavy line inside the top, and then bring a jagged line diagonally down the center.
10.

Add a series of small spots and dots all across the face for that distinctive jaguar look.
11.

Bring a curved line down from the bottom right of the face, and then add another, longer curved line below this, pointing to the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
12.

Add another curved line to the left of this, this time curving down, across, and then looping at the bottom.
13.

Bring this line across to the left and back up to create the outline of the paw, and then add three short, curved lines to the bottom.
14.

Continue the line up from the top of the paw, ending it level with the line to the right…
15.

And then add a horizontal line above the toes, angling up to meet the left line of the leg. Next, bring another line down from the original ones, and add another curve at the bottom to create the second front leg and paw.
16.

Add small marks for toes to this second paw, and then add a curved line above these…
17.

Next, bring a line across from the left side of the head, and curve this down, across and back up to form the back and tail. At the top of the tail, bring a curve down, jutting out to the left, and then back down and across to form the back leg.
18.

Add three small marks for toes, with an “L” shape above these…
19.

And then connect the back and front legs with two curved lines.
20.

Now, add another leg and paw just in front of the first.
21.

Now, add a series of ringed shapes to the back and tail of your jaguar, and follow this up with small spots and dots in between the rings.
22.

Continue this design all across the front and legs of the animal…
23.

And then use a cyan pen to add color to the eyes.
24.

Grab an orange pen to bring the nose to life…
25.

And then use a brown pen for the tip of the tail, the small dots on the body, and the outside of the rings.
26.

Use the orange pen to fill in the center of the rings…
27.

And then use the brown to add color to the tips of the ears, and the spots on the face.
28.

Now, grab an orange pen, and fill in the main body of the jaguar, leaving the paws, the belly, and the bottom of the face and ears white.
29.

Take a pale orange pencil and gently shade the paws and belly.
30.

Use a pink pen to add color to the bottoms of the ears and complete your look.
