We all know the song – “ladybug, ladybug, fly away home…” but what if you don’t want your ladybug to leave? Then you had better learn how to draw your very own – let’s get started!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Begin by taking a black fineliner pen and a ruler, and drawing a long, thin point around halfway down your page. This should be angled at roughly 45 degrees.
Fill this in with the black fineliner pen…
And then switch to a brown pen to enclose the pointed shape.
Use a red pen to fill in the circle…
And then a black pen to add a curved line to the right. Add two small circles inside this to create the head of your ladybug.
Fill in the head, and then draw two small crescent moon shapes inside the eyes. Use the black to fill in the space around this on the eyes.
Now, use the black pen to draw two antennae curving from the top of the head…
And add two circles to the end.
Next, use the black to add two circles to the shell, and fill these in…
And surround these with other, smaller circles.
Finally, add two curved lines to the bottom, two straight lines to the middle, and two curved lines to the top for little ladybug legs.
Now, there is a ladybug that you absolutely would not want to fly away home – it is far too cute!
