Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a black pen, and drawing a large “egg” shape in the center of your page.
2.

From the top of this, bring up two curved lines on either side., ending with a flick at the top.
3.

Use this flick to bring another curved line down and across to create horns for your monster.
4.

Add a series of short, curved lines all along the length of the horns.
5.

Now, add a small tuft to the top of the oval, in between the horns.
6.

Add two circles to the center of the shape, one slightly larger than the other.
7.

Now, add a large semicircle to the area below the circles, creating a wide, happy smile.
8.

Add a series of small “u” shapes below the top line of the mouth for a row of teeth…
9.

And then add large, curved shapes to the bottom line for a tongue.
10.

Now, add a large almond shape just below the mouth.
11.

Add a small dot to the bottom of this shape…
12.

And then use a black fineliner pen to add small crescent moon shapes inside the eyes, with smaller dots inside these.
13.

Switch back to the black pen, and add a series of “droplet” shapes to the right of the main shape.
14.

Now, add a shape, almost like an upside-down “heart”, below these droplets.
15.

Use a curved line to connect the “droplets”, and then bring lines down at an angle, and then bend back up towards the bottom.
16.

Now, add a series of short lines across the length of the arm…
17.

And add another curved shape to the left.
18.

Add more claws to the bottom of this…
19.

And then decorate this second arm with short, curved horizontal lines.
20.

Next, add two sets of parallel lines to the bottom of the body to create legs.
21.

At the end of these legs, bring two curved shapes across, pointing outwards to create feet.
22.

Now, use a yellow pen to add color to the eyes…
23.

And a red pen to the shapes inside.
24.

Use a blue pen to add alternate stripes of color to the horns…
25.

And fill in the stripes in between with an orange pen.
26.

Use a blue pen to fill in the feet and claws…
27.

And then add color to the inside of the mouth with a purple pen.
28.

Use a pink pen to add color to the tongue.
29.

Now, use a red pen for the main body of the monster, and add stripes along the arms.
30.

Use a pink pen for the remaining stripes, and the tummy in the center.
And there we have it – a monster who looks super cute, and not at all scary!
