Nurses are incredibly important healthcare professionals, and their hard work and bravery should be celebrated. With this in mind, let’s learn how to draw our very own nurse in just a few short, simple steps.

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a black fineliner pen and ruler, and drawing the bottom of a rectangle at the top of your page – leave the top lines unconnected.
2.

Use the black pen to connect both halves at the top with a curved line…
3.

And then use the black pen and ruler to bring two lines down from the bottom of this.
4.

Take the black pen, and connect these two new lines at the bottom with a curve. Then, use the ruler to add two more lines, this time close together, to the bottom, and join these with angled lines to create a point at the very bottom.
5.

Bring two curved lines down to the right, and then repeat this with longer lines on the left.
6.

Return to the curved lines on the right, and add a double “horseshoe” shape to the bottom.
7.

Then, add a ring shape to the bottom of the left curve.
8.

Bring two curved lines out from the top of the “point”, and curve these down on either side. Bring two short, horizontal lines in from the bottom.
9.

Add two small semicircles, one to the bottom of each line…
10.

And then bring two straight lines angling down towards the bottom corners, joining these at the bottom with a horizontal line.
11.

Now, use the black pen and ruler to bring down two angled, parallel lines from the bottom of this.
12.

Then use the black pen to add two vertical lines, one to the left of each angled line.
13.

At the bottom, use the ruler to add a “point” to each, with another point behind to give your nurse some shoes.
14.

Add a small, curved line just above the horseshoe on the body.
15.

Then, use the ruler to bring a vertical line down from the left of this, ending at the bottom of the hem.
16.

Use the black pen and ruler to add a short, angled line emerging from the top of the head, one on either side…
17.

And then connect these with a curved line. Bring a straight, thick line down from the center of this.
18.

Next, bring a curved line across and right from the bottom of the face, and follow this with another curve above it. Join these in a point for your nurse’s hair.
19.

Now, add two curved marks to the face with a flick at the end of each.
20.

Take a gray pencil, and use this to shade the inside of the ring.
21.

Grab a black pen, and use this to fill in the legs and shoes.
22.

Now, use a pink pen and a ruler to add a series of vertical lines to the bottom of the hat…
23.

And use a red pen to add color to the ponytail.
24.

Carefully shade in the bottom of the hat with a red highlighter pen…
25.

And use the same shade for the loop of the stethoscope.
26.

Use a red pen to add color to the lips.
27.

Then, use the pink pen for a spot of color on each cheek.
28.

Now, grab a green pen. Fill in the right half of the body and hat with this shade…
29.

And then fill in the rest of the body, hat, and right arm with a light green pen.
30.

Take a pale orange pencil, and shade the face and hands.
And just like that, your nurse is ready for duty! But who is she, and what does she do? That is truly up to you and your imagination!
