1.

Begin by using a black pen to draw a “u” shape in the center of your page. At the top of the “U”, add an arrow shape to either side, one pointing to the right, and the other to the left. Connect these with a point at the top, and add a short line to the top of this.
2.

Add another, smaller shape inside the larger one…
3.

And then add a small curved shape to the top of this.
4.

Add two small egg shapes to the top of this to create the eyes.
5.

Next, bring a large “n” shape around each of the eyes…
6.

Add a large, curved shape to the bottom, creating the bottom of the face.
7.

Now, add a curved line just inside this section…
8.

And bring a large, curved line upon and across the top of the head. Add another line just inside the top of this.
9.

Add another small circle inside the eyes…
10.

And then bring two curved lines down from the bottom of the face, taking these out, and then back in to connect at the bottom with a “bump”.
11.

Add another set of lines to the outside of this…
12.

And then add another set of curved lines to the right, creating a wing for your penguin.
13.

Add another wing to the left, this time pointing up to the top of the page.
14.

Next, add two wavy shapes to the bottom of the body for those all-important penguin flippers…
15.

And then use a black pen to color the outer section.
16.

Use a dark gray pen for the section on top of the head.
17.

Use a black pen to add two small marks to the inside of each of the eyes…
18.

And then add curved brows above the eyes.
19.

Use a red pen for the inside of the mouth.
20.

And a brown pen for the other sections on the inside of the mouth.
21.

Use an orange pen for the feet and the beak…
22.

And then use a light gray pencil to add areas of shading all around the inside of the body, the face, and the wings.
23.

Finally, use a blue pen to add spots of color to the eyes.
