Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black liner, and draw a long, thin shape, angled at 45 degrees, just to the left of the center of your page.
2.

Add a curved line emerging from the top of the shape, curving up and across in a “horseshoe shape”. Then, add two parallel lines heading out horizontally to the right, connected with a curve.
3.

Now, add a large “U” shape to connect the two halves.
4.

Add a smaller shape inside the outline, following the curve of the bottom, up to the top of the shape – here, bring the line down on either side, creating a gap in the center. Add two small, curved lines – one in each half.
5.

Now, add two small webbed feet to the bottom of the penguin…
6.

And use a black pen to fill in the outside space.
7.

Grab a yellow pen, and add color to the feet…
8.

Before using a pink pen to add color underneath the eyes.
9.

Now, take a gray pencil, and add a wavy line across the middle of the body.
10.

Use the gray to shade in the area below this line, leaving the top white.
11.

Switch to a cyan pencil, and add a large circle around the bottom of the penguin. Fill in the shape with the cyan.
12.

Add “teardrop” shapes all around the puddle to complete the look!
Now, have you ever seen anything cuter than a dabbing penguin in a puddle? Why not do a little reading or research to learn more about these great and curious creatures?
