Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and add a curved line in the left of your page. At the bottom of this, add a “bump”, and then bring a line up on the left, dividing this into three “prongs” for the antlers.
2.

Add a curved line to the side of this, taking this across and down, and then add a small “egg” shape inside this for the ear.
3.

Bring a line down from the bottom of the antlers, and take this across and up, before adding a line heading up to the top right-hand corner.
4.

Bring another line up from the side of the ear, and take this across to the right, and down slightly.
5.

Add a curved, pointed shape to the end of this for a tail…
6.

And then bring the line of the back down, across, and into a loop for the back leg. Bring this up and across to the right, leaving a gap between this and the line in front.
7.

Add two legs to the front…
8.

And then another, slightly bent, leg to the back.
9.

Add curved lines to the bottom of the legs for hooves.
10.

Now, add a small “n” shape to the bottom of the face, and then a point below this on the outside.
11.

Add an oval shape to the top of the face of the eye, and then add a curved line to the bottom of this for an eye. Add a mark to the top, and then short marks for lashes.
12.

Add small circles to the top of the back…
13.

And then add a puddle to the bottom of the deer’s face.
14.

Shade the nose and the bottom of the eye with the black pen.
15.

Use a red pen for the tongue…
16.

And a brown pen for the antlers and hooves.
17.

Use a light brown pen for the spots on the back, and the inside of the ears…
18.

And then a light orange or brown pencil for the main body of the deer.
19.

Finally, use a blue pen to shade the puddle of water.
And there we have it – your very own beautiful deer, enjoying the natural world.
