1.
Start with a black pen, and draw two triangles, each with a slightly curved outside line, to the center of your page.
2.
Join these at the top with a curved line, and bring curved lines down on the sides, almost joining these at the bottom.
3.
Add an oval shape to the center of the face, and a long, thin oval to the top of this for the nose.
4.
Add a curved shape to either side of this, and then connect these to the bottom of the face with curved lines.
5.
Add a curved line inside each “circle” shape, and add a curved “v” shape to the top of this.

Bring a line down from the bottom of the nose, and fork this at the bottom.
7.
Add a “u” shaped tongue to the bottom of this, and add a line to the center…

Before adding a curved line to the top of the head.

Bring two curved shapes down on the sides, curving these at the bottom to form the paws.

Bring these lines up at the top, and curve them inwards, leaving a slight gap…

And add a curved tail to the top of the body.

Now, add a curved line just above the top of the head…

And add an oval shape to the bottom of the tongue. Add curved lines above, down, and across to form the shape of the bowl.

Use a black pen to shade the nose, leaving the oval shape white.

Use a brown pen to shade the ears, the eyes, and the section around the mouth.

Use a lighter brown pen to shade the legs at the sides of the body and the area around the face.
17.
Use a brown pencil for the main body of the dog…

And then use a pink pen for the tongue.
19.
Use a blue pen for the water in the bowl…
20.
And then use a red pen for the bowl itself.
And voila – the cutest dog enjoying a drink of cool, refreshing water; all that he needs now is a name!
