Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start by taking a black pen, and drawing a small circle in the bottom left of your page.
2.

Add a curved section to the top of the circle, just below the top line.
3.

Now, use the black pen to add a spiky shape to the top right of the circle, angled towards the top left-hand corner of the page.
4.

From the left of this spiky shape, bring a curve down towards the top of the circle, but leave a slight gap.
5.

Now, add a large, angled “U” shape to the bottom of the line, curving this across to the bottom of the original circle.
6.

Bring a line down on the right – this should be slightly curved at the top, and then end in two “points”.
7.

Connect the bottom of this to the bottom of the circle, curving it across to the left and up to meet the line beside it.
8.

Now, add a line to the right of the top “spike”, curving down towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page, and ending in a “hook” at the bottom.
9.

At the bottom of this, bring a line down, curve it across in a “U” shape, and then back in to join the line beside it.
10.

Now, add a wavy line to the top section, and a curved line to the bottom – do you see the ear and face of your pooch starting to take shape?
11.

Now, add a “bump” to the top of the ear…
12.

And a large, curved semicircle above this.
13.

Add two “L” shapes side by side in the face of the dog, just above the nose…
14.

And then add a curved line below these.
15.

Next, add a mark to the right of this, and a series of small dots all around the nose.
16.

Add another “u” shape to the bottom of the face to form a tongue…
17.

And then bring three “bumps” out from this bottom section for a paw, connecting the end to the bottom of the face.
18.

Add another paw to the right of the first…
19.

And then take the black pen and a ruler, and add three sets of parallel, diagonal lines to the right of the dog. Add a single line above this group.
20.

Use the black pen and ruler to connect the ends of the top set of lines together with an angled line, and then connect these to the top line with diagonal lines.
21.

Now, connect the ends of the second set of parallel lines together, and connect these to the shape at the top…
22.

Before repeating this with the bottom set of lines.
23.

Now, use the black pen and the ruler to bring three vertical lines down from the bottom left-hand corner. Make the central line slightly longer than those on either side.
24.

Repeat this on the right-hand side…
25.

And join the ends of the vertical lines with short marks to create legs.
26.

Now, use the black pen and ruler to draw four horizontal lines between the legs…
27.

And then use the same tools to bring a line down from the top, angling towards the bottom left-hand corner of the page, and then heading straight down, ending at the top of the face.
28.

Add two more lines to the left of this, and connect these at the top to create the side of the house.
29.

Now, bring another line down to the left from the top, and add a short vertical mark to the end of this.
30.

Connect this to the main line with a diagonal line, and then continue the left line down slightly.
31.

Connect this to the main line with another diagonal line.
32.

Now, join the “ridges” at the top with straight lines to complete the roof of your dog house.
33.

Use the ruler and black pen to add a series of straight lines across the front…
34.

And then add a series of short, horizontal marks inside the panels, adding texture to the wood.
35.

Next, add a large “puddle” around the bottom of the dog paws and the dog house.
36.

Add three “Z” shapes to the right of your snoozing pooch…
37.

And then use a pink pen to add a splash of color beneath the nose.
38.

Grab a brown pen, and use this to add color to the rest of the nose…
39.

And then fill in the tongue with a red pen.
40.

Use a light orange pen to add color to the rest of your dog.
41.

Grab a dark brown pencil, and shade the main body and roof of the dog house.
42.

Then, use a dark brown pen to fill in the space around the bottom and complete your design.
And just like that, you have a snoozing pooch, perfectly happy in his very own dog house!
