A drum is a must-have instrument in any orchestra and the base of many of your favorite tunes and tracks. With this in mind, it is important that we know how to draw our own drum as part of a must-have orchestra; let’s get started!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start with a black pen, and add two small circles to the left of your page.
Add two small, “backwards C” shapes to the top right-hand corner…
And then connect each “C” shape to a circle with two straight, parallel lines using a ruler.
Now, add a large “figure 8” shape below this, with a gap in the top left.
Add another layer to the right of this…
Now, add four small circles at the corners of a “square” around the straight lines. Add two curved lines to the top of each of these.
Connect these shapes with a curve to create an oval…
And then add another oval outside this.
Now, add a curved line below the top section…
And add another curved line to the bottom.
Add a curve to the bottom of the page, and join these at the sides with vertical lines.
Add a stripe to the top of the bottom curve…
And use a ruler to add a zig-zag to the center of the drum.
Use a brown pen for the drumsticks.
Use an orange pen for the four fasteners on the top of the drum.
Now, use an orange pencil to shade the trim just above the top and bottom of the drum.
Use a yellow pen for the top and bottom of the drum.
Now, grab a red pen for the bottom half of the zig-zag and the wavy section on the right.
Use a lighter red pen for the top half of the zig-zag…
And shade the top of the drum with a brown pencil.
And there we have it – a drum ready to make amazing music. All you need to do is pick your favorite tune, learn the rhythm, and enjoy the music!
