Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and draw two small circle shapes, with slight points on the left, at the top of your page. Place the second circle just behind the first one.
2.

From each of these circles, bring out two sets of parallel lines, heading out in opposite directions, and join these at the ends with a curved line. These will be your drumsticks.
3.

Add a long, thin oval shape to the left, and add a short line in the center of this.
4.

Draw a small loop on the top of this shape.
5.

Add a small oval shape to the bottom of this, and then add three more, smaller shapes below, arranged in a group of three.
6.

Use a black pen to draw a thick, angled line from the short line, and take this down to meet the shapes below. This is the stand of your cymbals.
7.

Use the thicker black pen to add four curved lines to the right…
8.

And then turn the bottom two into thin, oval shapes.
9.

Use the thinner black pen to connect the oval shapes to the curved above, forming the outline of your drums.
10.

Use a ruler and a thin black pen to add a line to each side, and one in the center of each drum.
11.

Add a small back dot to the top of each vertical line.
12.

Use the thick black pen to add a large circle to the bottom of this.
13.

Then, use the thinner pen to add a curve to the top…
14.

Add lines to the top on both sides, and add a dot to the top and bottom. Then, add two small circles to either side and add two small, oval shapes in the bottom corners.
15.

Connect these shapes to the bottom of the drum with the thick black pen and ruler, and add small dots just inside each of these.
16.

Use the thicker pen and ruler to add two horizontal lines to the left of the drum…
17.

Now, use the ruler to add a wide “V” shape to the bottom of the horizontal line, and then add a short vertical line to the bottom of this. Add two lines angled towards the bottom just above the bottom of this vertical line.
18.

Use a thinner black pen and a ruler to add vertical lines to connect the thicker lines.
19.

Add small oval shapes to the bottom of the forked lines…
20.

Now, use the thicker pen and ruler to add two horizontal lines to the right of the drumkit.
21.

Add a “V” shape below this, and a vertical line below this. Then, leave a gap and add a vertical line, and add another “upside down V” to the end of this.
22.

Add small oval shapes to the bottom of the shape, and then another oval in the gap.
23.

Now, use the ruler and a black fineliner to add two triangles, one on top of the other, to the top right. Add a small oval to the top of this.
24.

Connect the two triangles with a small black square, and fill this in with the black pen.
25.

Use the thicker black pen to add a stand to the bottom…
26.

And then use a red pen for the ovals, the top of the central drum, and the sides of the other drums.
27.

Use a brown pencil for the rest of the sides…
28.

Finally, take your black pen and connect the three drums in the center together with two black lines.
And there we have it – are you ready to rock and roll?
