The fir tree is one of the most recognizable species and is a type of greenery often associated with luscious forests, snowy ridges, and alpine heights. Want to bring a touch of nature into the comfort of your home? Then we have everything you need in just a few short, simple steps!
Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start by using a black pen to draw a triangle shape at the top of your page. At the bottom, join the sides with a jagged line.
Add two angled lines to the bottom, and then join these with another jagged line.
Repeat this with another, slightly larger layer below, curving the sides as you go.
Now, repeat this a fourth time – this time, add a slight “dip” to the bottom.
Add another layer below, this time adding two “dips” to the bottom using jagged lines.
Add another layer, curving the sides slightly, with another set of “dips”.
Repeat this with a slightly wider layer below.
Now, add another layer below – this time, make it slightly shorter.
Bring another, slightly wider, layer to the bottom…
And follow this with another wide, pointed example, with three dips at the bottom.
Add another set of four points to the bottom of the tree…
And then follow this with smaller points poking out from the bottom.
Now, bring down two curved lines at the bottom, and join these with a slightly jagged line.
Grab a bright green pen, and use this to shade the leaves of your tree.
Use a brown pen for the trunk…
And then use a slightly darker shade to go over each line, adding texture and depth where the layers meet.
Now that you have the tools to create one fir tree, why not dive into an imaginary world, and create your own mysterious, magical forest?
