Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a pink pen, and add a “hook” shape to the left of your page, almost like a backwards “S”.
2.

At the bottom of this, add a curved line across to the right.
3.

3.

Add another curve just below this, and then bring the top curved line down to two points, and take this to the left.
4.

Continue this line up to meet the bottom of the head.
5.

Now, add a long, slightly angled line to the bottom of the body – this will be one leg of your flamingo.
6.

Add a “fork” shape to the end of this for a foot…
7.

And then add the top of another leg just behind this, and add a shape to the bottom of this leg.
8.

At the end, bring the line across, crossing over the left leg, and take this to the left.
9.

Then, bring the leg down slightly, and add another foot to the end.
10.

Now, add a large wing to the center of the body, with bumpy feathers across the bottom.
11.

Use the pink pen to shade the space around the wing…
12.

And then use a black pen to add a dot to the face for the eye.
13.

Use a lighter pink pen to add a circle around the eye and to color the wing.
14.

Complete the wing with the pink pen.
15.

Now, use a gray pen to add a triangle to the gap in the face with the point heading towards the eyes.
16.

Use a black pen to add a curved triangle below this, and connect this to the shape above.
17.

Use a pink pen to shade the area between the two triangles for the beak.
18.

Shade the rest of the head with the pink pen…
19.

And then use a gray pencil to add an oval shape to the bottom of the feet, and fill this in with the gray pencil.
20.

Finally, use a darker pink pen to add a darker shade to the bottom of the wing.
And voila – a super cute flamingo, just hanging out and relaxing – that sounds like a pretty good day to us!
