1.

Start with a black pen, and draw a half-circle, slightly angled, in the center of your page at the top. Make the bottom of this slightly pointed.
2.

Add a curve to the right, and then an angled line coming down from this.
3.

Draw a small “u” shape to the left…
4.

And then bring a curved line up, across, and down. Loop this line to the left, and then back across.
5.

Bring another line down from the bottom of the beak, and take this to the left, and then down, following the curve of the line to the left.
6.

Send another of these shapes across to the right…
7.

And then add a series of bumps beneath both for the wings.
8.

Connect the sides of the body together with a curve at the bottom.
9.

Now, add another curved shape to the top of each of the wings.
10.

Add a curved line to the bottom of the body…
11.

And then add a series of “bumps” for the feathers at the bottom.
12.

13.

Add two points to the bottom left of this, and then bring two parallel lines down from the bottom of this. Add a “bump” in the center, and then continue the line down.
14.

Add three forked lines to the bottom of this, and connect these at the bottom with curved lines.
15.

Now, bring two parallel lines down from the bottom right of the body, take these across to the left, and then add a foot to the end.
16.

Add a small black dot to the sides of each foot.
17.

Now, add a crown shape to the top of the head…
18.

And then add three lines to the sides of the face.
19.

Use a yellow pen to shade the crown…
20.

And then a purple pen for the legs and the tip of the beak.
21.

Shade the feet with a purple pencil.
22.

Now, use a pink pen to shade the main body of your flamingo, leaving the feathers at the bottom white.
23.

Now, use a blue pen for these bottom feathers…
24.

And use a light pink pen for the rest of the beak.
25.

Now, use a white marker to add spots across the bottom of the body and the wings.
Now that you have brought your adorable, dancing flamingo to life, all that remains is to give him a name – can you oblige?
