Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a black pen, and draw a ring in the top left of your page. Add a smaller dot inside the ring, and shade the space in between.
2.
Now, add a large “n” shape around this, with the right side slightly longer than the left.
3.
Add a curved, triangle shape to the bottom, pointing towards the right, and then another curved, triangle shape to the left of this, with the point heading downwards. This will form the beak and eye of your parrot.
4.
Bring a curved line across at the bottom, towards the left. Then, add a line up from the top of the beak, and take this across to the right. Add a “bump” as you extend the line.
5.
Bring a curved line down from the right of the bottom line, heading towards the bottom of the page.
6.
Now, add a series of points to the right of this, forming a feathery wing.

Now, extend the top line across to the right…

And add a short line in the center of the wing, at the top. Bring a line from the back of the wing to the top line.
9.
Extend the top line a little further, and take this to a point. Bring the line back down to the left, and then angle this down a little more.
10.
Add two bumpy lines down the length of the wing, just behind the feathers.

Grab an orange pen, and shade the beak…

And then use a yellow pen for the ring of the eye and the inner section of the wing.
13.
Now, use a brighter orange for the left section of the wing, the bottom of the tail, and the front of the body.
14.
Grab a bright blue pen, and use this for the remaining wing and body…
15.
And then use a black pen to add color to the chin.
And there we have it – a vibrant riot of color to make up your stunning parrot. Why not spend a little time learning more about these creatures? They are truly magnificent!
