Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Use a gray pen to draw two pointed ears in the center of your page, and join these with a curved line in the center.
2.

Bring lines down from the bottom, joining these at the bottom with a point. Bring lines across at the sides, and add a “tuft” to the end of this line. Draw a small shape inside the right ear, and add a small circle to the left side of the face.
3.

Shade this circle for an eye, and add another eye to the right.
4.

Add a small half circle to the bottom of the face, and then bring a line down from the left line, and take this across and down in a wavy line.
5.

Add a wavy line to the side of the face around the eye.
6.

Add a wavy line to the right, bringing this across, up to a point, and then down and back in.
7.

Now, continue this line to the left, and join the shape here…
8.

Bring bringing a pointed leg down to the left.
9.

Add whiskers to the face of your squirrel.
10.

And shade the left ear with a black pen.
11.

Shade the wings, the side of the face, and the tail with the dark brown pen.
12.

Shade the rest of the body with a light brown pen.
13.

Go over the face and top of the body with a gray pencil.
14.

Finally, use a red pen for the ear and nose.
And there we have it – a perfect flying squirrel! Learning to draw these creatures is just half the challenge, however, why not take some time to learn more about these fascinating animals?
