Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and draw a wide, curved “w” shape across the center of your page. Add another shape to the top of this, and connect these at the ends with a short mark.
2.

Add another curved “V” shape to the bottom of this.
3.

Next, add two upside-down “teardrop” shapes to the top of this, making the tops of these slightly thicker.
4.

Add smaller shapes inside these larger ones, and fill these in with the black pen.
5.

Add a curved “m” shape above the eyes…
6.

And then add a long, horizontal strip above this. Bring two short, vertical lines up at the ends of this.
7.

Now, add a cloud shape to the top of this.
8.

Draw a horizontal line beneath the beak, and then take a line down on either side, and another curving towards the bottom corners.
9.

Add a small oval shape in the center of this.
10.

Add a jagged “star” shape around the circle.
11.

Add a curved line below this, and then bring a line down at either end, and connect these at the bottom for a rectangle shape.
12.

Add two lines below this, and then add three “bumps” to the top of this.
13.

Connect these two shapes with a thick black line in the center, and then add two curves to the sides. Bring these lines up and in to meet the lines above.
14.

Now, bring up two sets of parallel lines from the top corners, pointing towards the top corners of the page. Join these at the ends with curved lines.
15.

Now, bring down two curved lines from the bottom of the hat.
16.

Add a small black triangle to the bottom corners, and then add a stripe above these. Connect these to the shape above with a curved line on either side.
17.

Add two small curved just below each of the thin shapes.
18.

Bring across two sets of parallel lines on either side for arms, and then add a thin rectangle to the end of each.
19.

Now, add a small crescent moon to the bottom of the right sleeve, and a small “teardrop” shape to the bottom of the left one.
20.

Now, add a curved oven glove to the end of each arm.
21.

Use a red pen to shade the pouch at the front of the apron.
22.

Grab a darker red pen, and shade the cuffs of the gloves, and the bottom of the beak.
23.

Now, use a blue pen for the jagged star shape…
24.

And an orange pen for the feet and the top of the beak.
25.

Use an orange pen for the rest of the apron, and in a series of intersecting lines across the gloves.
26.

Shade the diamond shapes that you have created on the gloves with a red pen.
27.

Now, use a black pen for the outline of the body…
28.

And add color to the hat with a gray pen.
And bon appetite – a super cute, funny penguin just waiting to cook up a storm – but what could be on the menu?
