Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
Start by using a thin black pen to draw a curved line at the top of your page, adding a series of “points” as you go.
Draw two curved triangle shapes, one at either end, to create your cat’s sharp ears.
Now continue the jagged, pointed line down on either side, curving down and in to create the outline of the face.
Add another, slightly curved, shape behind the triangle of the ears.
Next, add two almond-shaped eyes in the center of the face, and a small oval below these for a nose.
Thicken the top of the eyes to look more feline, and then add a smaller circle inside each. Next, add tall oval shapes inside the circles for those distinctive cat eyes.
Add two curved lines emerging from the bottom of the nose, and curling across and up in either direction. Add a small “u” shape to the bottom, with a curve across the top for a tongue.
Continue the curved line on the right of the face across to the left, and extend the line on the left down a little.
Add two “points” on either side for tufts of fur, and then add a “bump” to the left, before curving the line down towards the bottom of the page. On the right, curve the line across and then to the left at the bottom, adding tufts of fur.
Now add a large, fluffy tail with two curved, jagged lines…
Now, add two jagged lines in a “v” shape, with a gap at the bottom, to create a chest. Next, add a line to the right of this.
Add a line to the bottom of the chest section, and then a second line to the left of this.
Now, join the two sections at the front with a short jagged line.
Add two paws to the bottom of the legs…
And then add another two “C” shapes to the left of this for a back paw.
Add three more bumps to the bottom right…
Add a few more tufts of fur to the bottom right section…
And then draw a set of long whiskers on either side of the nose.
Now, add two curved lines to the bottom of the eyes.
Grab a pink pen, and fill in the ears, the nose and the tongue.
Use a brown pen to add color to the top of the mouth…
And then use a gray pen to add shading to the edges of the face, chest and back legs.
Use a black pen to add a few more patches to the legs, tail and head.
Use a brown pen to add color to the tail, face and legs.
Now, add white patches to the top of the eyes for eyebrows. You could paint these patches with white watercolor for the best result.
And there we have it – a super furry cat just waiting for a chin tickle – and we are sure you are happy to oblige!
