Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.

Start with a black pen, and draw a wavy line across your page. Bring this down as you reach the end.
2.

Add another line just behind this, adding a small bump, and then another bump at the bottom of this.
3.

Return to the left side of the line, and loop this across to the right. Add a curved line in the center of this.
4.

Now, add an almond-shaped eye behind this beak, and shade this almost completely with a black pen, leaving a small white dot to the right.
5.

Add a curved shape around the eye…
6.

And then bring a line down from the bottom of the beak. Add a “bump” to the bottom of this, and then take the line across to the right, and down in a “point”. Next, add a long, curved shape to the right of this, and add another curved line just inside the right-hand line.
7.

Bring a curved line down on the left…
8.

And then add a point to the bottom. Take the line across to the right from here, and add another point to take the line up to meet the wing above.
9.

Now, add three toes and a foot to the bottom of the left-hand point…
10.

And add three sharp claws to the end of each toe.
11.

Add another foot to the right of this.
12.

Now, add a series of curved points to the right of this foot, growing longer as they head to the right, and then connect these to the body.
13.

Add another wing to the left of the body around halfway up. Then, add a curved line to the bottom and side of this.
14.

Shade the outside section with a black pen, and echo this on the other wing. Use the same shade for the tail at the back and the top of the head.
15.

Shade the beak and feet with an orange pen.
And there we have it – your very own Gentoo penguin to name, learn about and discover – there is plenty to learn!
