Giraffes already have a reputation for being pretty cool; they are super tall, have bright, vibrant colors, and can reach the tastiest leaves at the very top of the tree. The only thing that could make them cooler? A pair of sunglasses – let’s take a closer look!

Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a thin black pen, and draw two bumps, connected with a straight line at the top, close to the top of your page.

Bring two long, thin shapes up from the top of these, and add circles to the top for the horns of your giraffe.

Next, add a curved ear to the left of the horns, with a smaller shape inside…

And then add another ear shape between the horns. Next, take a diagonal line down from the right “bump”, and then curve this across to the left. Add two small dots inside.

Bring a curved line underneath this, and then take this line across to the left slightly, before curving it down and across to the left.
6.
Bring a line down from the left shade, and take this down, across to the left, and then curve it down at a slight angle.
7.
Now, return to the line at the front, and add two angled lines, joined at the bottom, to create a leg.

Follow this with a leg at the back, and then connect the two legs with a curved line in the center.

Next, add another leg to the front…

And follow this with a fourth and final leg at the back.

Bring two curved lines across at the back to form a tail, and then add a pointed “tuft” to the end of this.

Add a series of shapes and patches all over the body of your giraffe, for that distinctive pattern…

And then repeat this with decoration and patterns on the legs.

Use the black pen to shade the sunglasses of the giraffe…

And then use a brown pencil for the horn and the inside of the ear.
16.
Grab a lighter brown pen, and shade the patches…

And then use a light orange or yellow pen to add color to the rest of the body.
Now, we don’t know about you, but that is one of the cutest and coolest giraffes we have ever seen; and he needs a super cool name to go with his new look!
