Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start by taking a black pen, and adding a small, angled “crescent moon” shape to the top of your page.

Now, add a large, curved line immediately below this.

At the right of this line, bring the curve down and back across to the left, meeting the left side in a point – do you see your hat starting to take shape?

Add another curved line just underneath this…

And then bring a short curve down and across to the right.

At the bottom of this new curve, bring the line down, across to the right, and back up to create the outline of the face.

Now, bring two curved lines down from the bottom of the face, reaching out to either side of the page.

Connect these two lines with a curve to create the decolletage of your woman…

And then add a line immediately below this, and one slightly further down, connecting the lines with a slight curve.

Bring a curved line up on the right, and add a small “bump” to the edge of this.

Now, add a curved “E” shape to the left side, and add a small line to the bottom…

Return to the bottom curve of the hat. On the right, bring this back across to the left to create a thin point. On the left, bring a larger shape across to the right.

Now, use a black fineliner pen to add an almond shape to the face, just below the left curve, to create an eye.

Add a smaller circle inside this shape…

And then thicken the top line. Use the black fineliner to fill in the inner circle, leaving just a small dot.

Use the fineliner to create another semicircle shape at the bottom of the face for lips…

And add curved lines to the top and bottom of this. Add another small, thin section below the top lip.
18.
Now, grab a red pen and fill in the main body of the hat.

Use a black pen for the hair at the sides…
20.
And then grab the red pen again for the collar and the lips.
21.
Finally, take the black pen to fill in the inside of the mouth, and complete your lool.
